| For me it's the courage of Rob and then Kev just wanting to do whatever he can to help his mate. Awesome.
Time to treat research into this disease to some serious funding.

| The way Rob tells the tale even Kevin Sinfield wasn't too pleased with Mac at the back end either

| Got this book for Christmas and just finished reading it. Had a lump in my throat at times, Such a shame that so much of Robs career was stifled by the bizarre ideas and downright stubbornness of one man.

| Setting emotion aside, there must be umpteen retired players who blame their coaches over decisions made. Rob is - without doubt I'd say - the greatest impact player the game has ever seen. Would his legend be greater had McDermott gone about his job differently? We'll never know, sadly.

| Interesting take about Brian Mac.
Whilst not his greatest fan, I have every sympathy with him over this situation-perhaps not how it was handled.
It was fairly obvious in the second half of his career that making 40 tackles a game defending towards the middle was not going to work for Sinfield. Thus he needed to play in the halves and 3 into 2 simply didn’t go.
Is there any doubt Burrow is a Leeds legend who impacted many many games with his unique skill set? No
I still wouldn’t have picked him over Sinfield or McGuire in the halves at that point which meant providing impact from the bench was his role. He did it brilliantly having more of a license to jump in, run and create.
Would he have been as effective and impactful playing 7? Possibly but once Sinfield moved permanently to halfback that was never going to be at Leeds.
I for one am glad Brian Mac found a way to make it work even if not everyone was entirely happy.

| Brian Mac was a bully who purposely intimidated academy players. Let that sink in.
