| Cameron Smith has been top class for the last 2 seasons how anyone can say he hasn’t been up to Super League level is beyond me. His development stalled when Brian Mac decided to try and turn him into a front rower

| Quote rollin thunder="rollin thunder"Big if with Johnson, believe it when I see it, all the hype but reckon he has not got the bottle for it, typical big lad (proverbial) at junior level, not got it at Open age/super league level. See also Cameron Smith, Jason Netherton, Marcus Vass, Jamie Field etc.
Happy to be proven wrong.'" Hmm not sure about the bottle or big lad tag. From what I've read he fell out of love with the game. Cam Smith really he's been playing well and for mine should be out starting 13.

| Smith's still a work in progress imo. Happily the bad games are increasingly outnumbered by the good. Still the odd horror show thrown in though

| The only twist I could see happening still is if maybe Gale decides to go elsewhere and the club lets him; or we get a serious bout of homesickness with one of the NRL players.
Other than that we are looking set as a squad for next year. It's not the ideal situation without another big body prop, but I do think we should be better as a team, and then if we can do better with injuries our season should look much improved.
We do have a nice mix of youth and experience now, we have come a long way from the dark years and it seems impossible that we would be in any danger of finishing towards the bottom this year.
Whether we have quite enough to take the title... injuries will play their part and a bit of luck. We shouldn't be without hope though.

| Quote ArthurClues="ArthurClues"Seen a few quotes from Brad Dywer where he was quite open about moving on in 2023. Clearly he wants to stay, but obviously feels like he's going to have a real fight to get in the 17 next year and beyond.'"
Don’t believe anything from SARL.

Not generally, but they don't tend to make up direct quotes.

| It's right that Dwyer might be getting his name out there a bit, I don't have a problem with the article. He might still have 5 years career ahead and Leeds clearly prefer Leeming (who's on a long term deal) and then have Johnson coming through too.
There is a lot of click bait out there but just sign of the times.

| Read the article with Dwyer, it does come across like he expects to be moving on imo.

| If he has a great season and wants to stay, he might get a year or two extension. I rate the lad, as tough as any I’ve seen and he does gave a good running game.
I suspect he would be higher up the pecking order at another club though.

I haven't either and i think he will move on as you said Leeming contracted 2024 Johnson 2023.The club havent brought Johnson back to play in the reserves permanently and i expect him after a full preseason to be pushing for a place in the 17. If this happens i cant see Dwyer signing a new deal if offered at this time in his career.
