| We're only as strong as our weakest link. When the injuries and suspensions come (which they undoubtedly will) we'll struggle for size and power without another out and out prop.

The side we have right now is risky. It might pay off; but otherwise I’d expect us to be in the market for a good proper prop and/or back rower in 2023.
Maybe we will manage to sign another english prop but I can’t think of who would challenge for a place in the 17, unless it is Matty English who I can’t see Huddersfield letting go easily. They are trying to build a competitive side themselves.

| Quote chapylad="chapylad"Would prefer Austin in at LC for Sutcliffe on the bench but if not Austin at 17.
Still leaves Myler, Briscoe, Broadbent, Thompson, Dwyer, Gannon and maybe a new prop'"
Knew i forgot somebody. Austin would take that last bench spot covering a whole variety of positions.

I think everybody agrees but who exactly should we sign? I hear oh another Ava type but it’s risky taking a prop from the NRL and for every good one there are a number of not so good ones. Also everybody in SL is looking for props, bar maybe Saints and Catalans so finding a decent one who will come and not having to pay over the odds is difficult.
If there isn’t a good prop available for decent money then we wait until next year when hopefully there is. No point bringing over an average prop from the NRL if it doesn’t really make us much better.

| Personally think it’ll be..
Myler
Fusitua Newman Briscoe Handley
Sezer Gale
Oledzki Leeming Prior
Martin Mellor
Bentley
Dwyer Tetevano Holroyd Thompson/Smith/Donaldson/Sutcliffe/Austin
Also bodes well with reserve grade returning too with
Walker, Tindall, Hall, Edwards, Broadbent, Sinfield, Johnson, Walters, O’Connor, Mustapha, Gannon all involved with Johnson, Gatus, Lumb, Simpson, Edghill, Field all possibly joining too.

| I think it's very unlikely they'd pick Briscoe as centre over Sutcliffe.
But it does look like a very good squad with real quality depth everywhere other than front row.

Yep, I'm not Sutty's biggest fan, but surely if fit, he starts next season at left centre. If not, what was the point in giving him another contract?I really do like the look of Broadbent though. Went the length on Friday. Don't think either Tom or Liam would have scored that one.

Agree, unless sutty absolutely rips it up and centre then I can see Broadbent and Edwards being close to that position the year after.

Totally agree, you can't sign a player who doesn't exist but this to me is a massive risk.
