I agree as if/when Mik and Newman earn more than the home trained marquee allowance £250k ?? then it makes sense to move Tetevano off marquee player status . Tetavano wouldn't be on less money but we would have more space on the salary cap . |

Chances are if Mik /Harry are doing well enough to earn Marquee they will be offered contracts in Oz. Wouldn't you take that opportunity if it came along. most don't last long out there but you'd regret not trying. |

Anyone seen Max King? 24 year old Storm prop who's had injury issues, but apparently been touted to SL clubs. I doubt he'd be on mega money and could be a longer-term play to strengthen our front row?

Benefit of the doubt from me over Zane at the moment. I am concerned though - he should be MoM contender most games and he hasn’t been so far.
Our next signing or two might just make the difference between closing the gap in 2022 or having a nearly year. I don’t think we have cap space to make a splash though. |

Zane has had a hugely disrupted season and imo is played in not his best position at 13. Covid hit him very very hard. I think he’ll be much better next year but he needs one no doubt

Isn’t he marquee Tetevano? I never bought that at all. He’s not been a household name at international level, he’s never been an automatic name in a first 13 of an NRL club (he has been in a 17)and he’s had disciplinary issues throughout his career. If we talk about why the marquee allowance was brought in, he goes totally against the reasoning behind it. I bet he can’t believe his luck tbh. It’s not that he’s a bad player but he’s never a marquee in a million years.
