I’d be disappointed if a lack of take-up of vaccinations among players and club staff was an issue.
This is such a difficult issue. We have seen several players quite badly effected by COVID (Dwyer had it quite bad, Martin and then Tetevano - maybe others). It’s easy to assume superfit athletes are somehow immune to diseases but the virus really doesn’t care.
This thing transcends sport but my view is that vaccination is the only route forward to a normal life again anytime soon. It is not possible to put the genie back in the bottle again.
If it were me I would be applying strong encouragement to all clubs to vaccinate everybody. I might even say that while it’s your choice if you don’t want to take it, you will be stood down because you become a vector for introducing it for everyone else.
The science is pretty clear. People seem to expect a risk-free existence these days and it’s a fantasy.

He came back last week after been out for several weeks with a hand injury. He was a little rusty on his return but came through the game without any further injuries as far as I'm aware.
