I think we underestimate the things players go through. Look at the facts about Martin- on the other side of the world, expecting a child, had covid and an underlying health condition that is known to make Covid worse. I dare say if that was 99% of us it would have an impact on our work life. I get the argument well they're professionals and should deal with these things but we're not living in a normal world at the moment. I'd give him another year with an option for extension(s) if improved form continues.

Hurrell doesnt look the same players we saw a couple of years ago. Maybe down to injury considering he didnt play for the past part of 6-8 months with injury, delayed season etc. Just doesnt have the same impact ball in hand which used to offset his vulnerabilities in defence. Dont think he'll get a new deal with the options we seem to have in that area with Newman, Broadbent, Sutcliffe.

Agree completely with majority of the above. Hurrell on marquee is a non starter and on current form would not get in team ahead of Broadbent Newman Sutcliffe or even Tom Briscoe. As such that money needs to go to a top quality half. Martin I have sympathy for as he has had some challenges and looked much improved last couple of games. My issue is that the back row feels top heavy squad wise. Currently we have Martin Mellor Tetevano Thompson Donaldson Smith Walters Gannon King V and o Connor. Add in Bentley and thats 11 players and 4 overseas spots! Would rather see one of the overseas spots released and filled by another prop or a back with real pace. Assuming we get Sezer or another top half we would then have a great pack and a really balanced sqiad

Did we miss a trick not signing Coote?
Or are we happy to keep Myler there and put the money into a HB maybe?

I hope HB is the priority and that theres faith in myler, walker and now potentially Sutcliffe as options. Not a position for me that warrants shelling out for.

The emergence of Myler has probably saved us a few quid that`s for sure.
I would also like us to sign a winger until Tindall is ready.
