| Quote ocdstephen="ocdstephen"I'd be very surprised if this comes off. Agar pretty much dismissed the idea a couple of weeks ago, saying Williams wanted to be on the other side of the Pennines.'"
Yes I agree, I thought it was nailed on he was going to Warrington, but stranger things have happened

| Then Carney got a message that Leeds had spoken to him and offered him the same as Wire but pulled out 2 weeks before when it was said he wanted to stay this side of the Pennines.

| If Williams did come to Leeds it would be on a short term deal only as we maybe the only club that has some space on the cap. Warrington probably cannot offer him a deal without releasing a major player. Thats not going to happen unless that player finds a club.

| If he wants to live in or near Wigan, the travel to Leeds isn't much more than the travel to Warrington in reality

| Shaun Johnson has signed for NZ Warriors
Didn’t see Carneys comments last night but that’s very interesting re Williams.. I wouldn’t rule us out at all. Agar knows his dad very well.

| I’m going to be positive that the club will find a good 6 for us somehow.
Even Lui coming back this year will give us a boost, he’s a skilful and solid player.

| Agree re Lui, we have always looked a better side with him in it IMO.
I still can’t see Williams joining but you never know, although Steve Prices answer seemed to indicate to me that Warrington will be his destination - on Steve Price, he might be in a bit of hot water with his comment last night, I think he used a certain word that means something different in Aus but is pretty offensive over here!

| I'm on the fence a bit regarding Williams. I mean, definitely a big upgrade on what we've had. But even if he comes, would he stay? We could do without too much disruption I feel, the squad has actually had a total overhaul in the past few years and it's still ongoing.
Then again in a couple of years we might have another couple of young players ready for first grade. I'm praying the young Sinfield sees his future at Leeds because I hate to say it but he has first team written all over him already.

| I'd be pleased but stunned if Williams came. Just can't see it. The rumour somebody put on about Sezer last night was interesting. Top quality player who is a good goal kicker as well.

| I think we need a good kicking game out of both halfs. We really have missed cutting edge in attack in "good ball" and this is the missing link for me - we have a pack now which can reliably make field position, but we need to be able to apply consistent pressure on the opposition line and ask questions. Having two halfs who can do that is massive.
The other thing is we have some strike in the back line and better half combinations will help release them. Once we get a quality 6 in place we should be at the races again. To be fair, if I was a half back looking for a club I do think Leeds would be attractive. I reckon we have the best young pack in the league and the club has profile. You would also think if you were decent that your place if pretty secure for at least a year or two...
