I'd be very surprised if this comes off. Agar pretty much dismissed the idea a couple of weeks ago, saying Williams wanted to be on the other side of the Pennines.

Then Carney got a message that Leeds had spoken to him and offered him the same as Wire but pulled out 2 weeks before when it was said he wanted to stay this side of the Pennines.

If Williams did come to Leeds it would be on a short term deal only as we maybe the only club that has some space on the cap. Warrington probably cannot offer him a deal without releasing a major player. Thats not going to happen unless that player finds a club.

If he wants to live in or near Wigan, the travel to Leeds isn't much more than the travel to Warrington in reality

Maybe he’s having second doubts about it always being their year

I’m going to be positive that the club will find a good 6 for us somehow.
