We will have the cap space. But I doubt we have made a play for him. I can just tell with what we are like. He perfect for what we need but yet that won’t come to mind. He’s already back at Wigan.

Just been on the Wigan’s web site, they already seem confident that he’s joining them. Some are commentating that they have lots of cap space available to buy him,

Arguably best squad in the league 7 wins out of 7 games, they never have to rebuild a team, have first choice on most of the best NRL players that come over here yet it seems they pay their players very well always plenty of cap space available. Am I missing something here

They do don’t they... they’ve consistently out done us in that regard for the last 6 years.

It’s quite laughable when you compare the two squads (Leeds and Wigan). We should be nowhere near the full cap even if Eastmond had been here

Too expensive for us, we should go for Danny Brough instead. Two year contract then waste another two more years in our transition period.

Wonder whether Hastings will be released to join Wests ahead of schedule? Also got to factor in that since Williams is a Wigan academy product they get a lot more dispensation on their salary cap, in the same way that we do with Gale.

Wigan get 1st refusal as part of the contract he signed when he left for Canberra. Would be very surprised if he went anywhere else tbh.

Apparently he’s not got anything sorted and the timing of immediate release has caught him a little by surprise. Matthew Shaw reporting.

Not sure wigans first refusal means anything with him being released from his contract...its nothing to do with canberra now i would of thought. He's a free agent and as such the decision is his to make.
