TBF he looks every bit a CL level player right now but i do hope we will be digging our heals in and putting a huge price on his head. when you think Maguire went for 80m, Richarlison and Pepe for 50m and Jadon Sancho being quoted at over 100m we should be talking those kinds of figures or tell them to get stuffed.

Where do you start with that... Bielsa got it badly wrong imo messing with the back 4. Some pride restored second half and credit to them for not capitulating. Clearly don’t have the quality to cope with amount of injuries we have. Thought Roberts and Huggins did well. Klich starting position has to be under threat from Roberts.

Totally agree. Why break up the defence that has done ok lately even with Alioski in it!
Dallas to the Philipps role and either Roberts or Hernandez into midfield.
Whilst I don`t rate Roberts or Costa I thought apart from Costa messing up they did ok.
Messloier good prospect but gifted 3 goals.
Lacking again at LB and will look better once the 6 or 7 first teamers get back in the squad.

Yeah just seen Klich was injured. Robert’s should have started... he looked really good. Shack much better when moved to midfield too which is no shock. Shame Wolves won today they’d have been on the floor against us on Friday confidence wise. Just hope Phillips is back

We seemed to freeze again playing away at one of the big teams, and although I wouldn't have played Struijk at CDM, it seems Bielsa seems to rate him there, so I think we'll continue to see him played there when Phillips is injured

Worst game in a Leeds shirt from Messlier. It’s going to happen though from a 20 year old kid. He needs a propper back up / competition. I think it’s a lot of pressure for a 20 year old.

nal were well up for that yesterday. i watched them against villa and they were nowhere near that intensity, same when we played Chelsea and Man united. i guess that is a credit to us that these top teams realise they have to be fully at it with us.

all that said the result needs putting into perspective. i feel bad mentioning this, as we all know its only the scousers who get injuries, but we had 4 top internationals missing; three being the key triangle in at the back and we simply don't have the quality in reserve yet to cover that and go to the likes of nal and get a result unless they are all bang at it, which they certainly weren't in that first half. hopefully this game will lead to Bielsa realising Struijk is a passenger playing the Phillips role at this level, he is an out and out CB.

Agree Biff there wasn’t one mention of our injuries apart from Phillips. The options on the bench were pretty dire. We were down to the bare bones. Quality options are what we need to work on over next transfer window

Bielsa thinks Struijk played well in that role, I doubt he'll move him out of there if Phillips isn't available.
Saying that, I reckon Koch would be the main back up if he was fit.

really? not professing i know better than MB but i am really surprised by that i think it looks obvious he is not up to the role and we also had a settled looking defence with Sruijk at CB and it also kills our right side when Ayling moves in. it just doesn't make sense, i could understand all the changes if Struijk was having an impact in that role but he looks lost to me.

i agree mate i think Koch would do that role to a competent level in the PL and worth a try when he is fit.
