In the latest YEP interview with him, he states:
" Coming to Leeds was always on my mind. I was living in the ghetto in NZ, but I thought to myself 'If I can dream'. My mother said 'Don't', but I said 'Mum, don't be cruel. I have to follow that dream.' Anyway, I just can't help believin' that this is the right move for me. Leeds is the promised land. Maybe it's the impossible dream. I know when I meet up with Zak Hardaker I'm gonna tell him "(You're the) devil in disguise". Plus, I'll be bringing my guitar, man. It's kinda a good luck charm."
