People calling Thompson greedy are doing so in internet land, not the real world - In what is a relatively short career, the players have every right to go wherever pays best - what else do they employ a manager/agent for?

If Thompson is looking to come back to the UK, and the Bulldogs are happy for him to do that, why on earth wouldn’t he chase the biggest contract possible? COVID if anything will probably highlight this need more than ever - no pay check is guaranteed in this current climate, so take what you can, when you can, as long as you’re not doing the dirty on anyone. If Thompson has been given permission to test the market, good on him, he’ll get what someone is willing to pay him.

Has there been any reports of Leeds interest in Thompson in the media? I know Wolfe at Saints is on record as saying they would welcome him back, but I can't find anything that mentions Leeds.

If I were Leeds, Id be looking at Tom Amone from south sydney. 23 years old and a big fella, seen him play a few times last couple of years and looked an outstanding, no nonsense prospect.
Doesnt look like souths are going to re-sign him, out of contract now, would save us a few pennies.

Anyone watch Rugby AM this week and the interview with Tom Burgess? Said he will eventually play back in Super League and his Dream to play for Leeds, we can only wait and hope.

I would think twice about Tom. He's 29 next year and I don't any of the brothers are built to extend careers long into their thirties. Huge lads carrying lots of muscle with great strain on the knees. If it was his dream to play SL for Leeds surely he'd be doing it by now.
