I was watching that feature, it was followed by an interview with Jamie Peacock talking about the challenge he is taking on for Rob. Last night Barrie Mac was talking about the challenge he is taking on with Kevin Sinfield and Luke Ambler. Our sport has some great heros.

At the same time I was reading the allegations surrounding Sam Burgess. I think my previous loyalties were misplaced.

its heartbreaking, Rob is deteriorating so quickly in contrast to Doddie Weir who seems ok ( well as ok as you can be with MND ) As for Sam Burgess ( by coincidence, his father Mark died of MND ) some very serious allegations made against him.

Doddie Weir has had that disease for 5 years and its not impacted him anywhere near the extent it has Rob.

Ive known Rob a long time and text him regularly but i know he struggles to reply now with his hands these days. Either that or hes fed up of me lol.

A Year with MND.

Going to be a very tough watch but the awareness he has raised for this terrible disease during all hes dealinf with is truly remarkable. He was a hero on the pitch but even more so off it. But we all know that.

Yes I'm going to have to force myself to watch it . When I think of all the love his family are giving him and outwardly looking cheerful .my heart goes out to them

I was supposed to be going to see Rob last week, but then the government put that on hold. It just shows what kind of family they are, when Lindsey was going to invite a fan into their home. I had a flag made and Rob Re tweeted it. As a long shot I asked Lindsey if it would be possible to show Rob it, and she replied that it would be great to go over to Ponty and have a chat with him. Heart breaking what they are going through.

Think it would be great to get a statue of Rob at Headingley, an action image from the great GF try v saints.

Yes ,but I think any tributes and statues and finals best player trophies for Rob should be on hold ,hopefully for a long while yet
