That's fine. Demote them or whatever but what does it achieve? It will probably bankrupt the club, if they aren't already, or at best leave it clinging on for dear life.
Tbh the whole thing was sadly inevitable. We can't keep a club going at decent level over the way in Wales. The chances of one taking off in Canada was pretty slim.
If the RFL are serious about expansion on any level they need to figure out how to do it as almost all attempts over the last 30 years have failed. Or we could just face into the truth that the sport we love isn't that important to others. Never had been and never will be (yep, I did actually say that).

You do realise that they haven’t only hit financial issues, but they have put in doubt the integrity of our competition, and shafted innocent families where careers could be threatened?
Why should the rules change for one club who’s actions are far worse than previous clubs, who have been penalised accordingly for their misdemeanours?

| They’re not the first club to do it and they won’t be the last.
The only sustainable way to run this sport is on 5 year franchises with Any club who meets certain criteria able to join.

| Personally I think TWP should be relegated and a Championship team promoted. If SL let them stay in SL next year it will give off all the possible wrong signals. I somehow think they won’t be around Next year period.

| Why should a championship club be promoted when they are doing the same as Toronto?
No promotion or relegation announced anyway.

You do know the Lamport Stadium in Toronto was regularly getting 8000 for Championship games?
It did take off in Toronto Canada. Our sport has just looked a gift horse in the mouth.
Sadly our small time backward thinking clubs didn’t want Toronto in Super League as they were worried they’d take their place. They were denied a share of the tv money and obstacles put in their way. Instead we will have Wakefield, Featherstone, Leigh. The sports going nowhere.

| The only thing the RFL & SL need to do in light if this is to strengthen their due dilligence before letting another clueless "owner" comes wading in with a new PR Stunt empty promises & BS predictions.
This notion that the sport owes TWP anything is ridiculous even more so in light of recent events.
This has been bubbling along for months court cases back home in Canada players not getting paid on time if at all.
The visa issues are imo something they should have prepared for it isnt the RFL's responsability.
Once again working people players & their families suffer at the hands of a clueless attention seeking wannabe RL Club owner.
C19 hasnt helped but the brutal honesty is TWP was never going work long term under we'll wing it grab some headlines & hope our promises oay off ownership.

Quote Sir Kevin Sinfield="Sir Kevin Sinfield"Toronto Wolfpack are set to add Halifax forward Paul Brearley to their squad in 2021.
League Express can reveal the Wolfpack are close to finalising a deal.
He is Toronto’s second signing from the Championship ahead of 2021, with Brearley set to join Toulouse’s James Bell in Brian McDermott’s squad next season.
Deals for Ryan Hall, Stevie Ward, Richie Myler and Ben Flower are all thought to have been completed for next year too.
Meanwhile, League Express understands current Wolfpack backrower Bodene Thompson has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
Thompson, 31, joined the club last season and has gone on to make 27 appearances for the club, scoring five tries.
A Super League Grand Finalist with Warrington in 2018, Thompson is believed to have signed a multi-year deal with the club and joins the likes of Gareth O’Brien, Matty Russell and Anthony Mullally in committing to the club.
