Exciting to see what develps , both in regards of us possibly getting a good prop in and a sign we'r mabe not as hard up as GH suggests we are.

Does he say spend big? And what difference does it make? If the wages are in line with others it should have no effect on anything. We have to have a full squad and be good enough to challenge.

Cant see Fifita being cheap tho. He is contracted isnt he at Wakey isnt he? Yes we need a full and competitive squad and we will have but i think asking GH for a transfer fee might be a job for a braver man than we have right now.

Whilst I seriously doubt that it would be Fifita, who says it would need a transfer fee? What if he’s on the highest wage there and they just want to shed the cost? Similar to us wanting to shed the cost for Sutcliffe (I know he’s not a highest earner), and therefore we are willing to forego a few?

FWIW I don’t think Fifita is the type to walk from Wakey, he seems pretty committed to the team and club.

Are contracts still valid with players been forced to take pay cuts?

I would think so with the players agreeing to the reduction.

If Ward, Cuthbertson and Myler leave as expected we could sign a player or 2 and have a lower wage bill than this year. I think the players would accept that personally.
