More sad news from ER this evening , the passing of the much underrated Trevor Cherry , a classy defender who represented the club almost 500 times , no mean feat for a player who's quality was often overlooked even by the club's own fans .

I was hoping we could play out the season but the more it goes on the more obstacles are put in the way.
The main one being if one player in the squad tests positive that means the team cannot play for 14 days or the players from the team he played against cannot play presumably.
To scrap the league would be ridiculous after 80% of it has already been played.
The only option as I see it is points per game with relegation/promotion across all leagues.
Whatever they choose expect complaints/appeals galore from a number of disadvantaged clubs.

Season must be played out or the favourable points per game mode, the FA have said, no option to null and void.

The points per game would take into account points per home game and points per away game wouldn't it?
