I’m surprised at how well Myler’s done this year playing as interchange hooker, but with the salary he’s likely to command it makes more sense to go with Leeming and Dwyer at hooker.
Similar at half back he’s too costly to be backup to Gale and Lui when we have Mcelland ready to step up.
Myler deserves to get a new SL contract elsewhere and I’ll wish him well but think it would be bad business to keep him in a salary cap sport.

Yes unfortunately I think you're right there. It's a shame as the lad is showing what he can do when used correctly but salary cap is better spent elsewhere though we are light on cover at Fullback. Though I think the only way Myler will stay is if Lui goes. Lui for me is the better half though and we're yet to see the best of him imo after hed had a full offseason I think he'd have gone well this year.

| I thought that about Lui too but seems to have had a slow start. Not that we have had a lot to go on!

| Cuthbo has played well but given his age and overseas place then its a no from me.
If Ward is making progress on his concussion issues then yes.
Dwyer has improved so maybe another 1 year deal.
Myler also played very well but I would think for him to stay he may have to take a pay cut.So probably time for him to move on.
Holroyd is a yes.
Briscoe is another tricky one so may depend on his wage demands although I do feel we can do better than him.

i think Mylers and Briscoe options might be limited in terms of salary, nt many clubs will be wanting to increase wage bills, if they can both agree reduced terms I would be keeping them

Shame that as I was really hoping Greenwood could finally fulfill his potential.
Bet he's gutted too as been frozen out at Wigan....

| From the list of players in their last year I would go with;
Albert - he has basically gone anyway so he won't be renewed.
Holroyd and mustapha - give them new contracts providing the money is sensible, i.e. they dont suddenly expect top dollar, not that I am suggesting they are, just a point of consideration.
Briscoe - still has something to offer in SL but not at Leeds. The problem is who do you replace him with? Luke is an option but is a risk as he has never nailed down a starting SL spot.
Cuthbo - it might sound tough but it's time for him to go, particularly if we sign holroyd and mustapha so they can see openings for the first time. Will free up an overseas spot too.
Myler - if they can strike a good deal I would keep him but likely he can get more money and game time elsewhere in SL based in his early season form so expect him to go if clubs have enough money post Covid-19.
Ward - if he wants to carry on playing we will offer him a contract. I just wonder if maybe it's time for him to move on with his life as he can't escape the injuries which mentally will be tough on him now and physically could leave problems in later life. He's a bright lad by the sounds of it, I think he could hang his boots up.

He may come back but as his loan was presumably for a time period rather than a number of games why would we want to pay his wage (or a proportion of it) at a time when we have no cash coming in. He's contracted to Wigan so they'll have to pay his wage.
Would be good to see if he does add to us if he does come back again.

Fair point. Hope he comes back as massive potential....
