I doubt Hoffman would come to SL to be a reserve. He's not all that good, mainly because he can't or won't pass the ball.

There is a few SL clubs that are winger heavy atm teams like Hull FC have.

Faraimo, Fonua, Swift, Naulago
(Fonua and swift are new signing for them so they wouldn't leave but don't think Faraimo and Naulago would leave to be a back up winger somewhere else.)

Maybe someone like Max Jowitt from Wakefield could do a job for us still you and could be good cover for us at FB or wing he wouldn't start when everyone is fit but with T.Briscoe out til March/April could be worth a punt. Wonder if Escare would mind being a back up for us he's just that at Wigan but there he has Hardaker, Marshall, J.Burgess, French, Manfredi all ahead of him if he came to us say he'd only have Walker, Handley and T.Briscoe in front of him i rate him abit more than L.Briscoe personally.

Prefer to give one of our academy lads a chance than two serial losers like Jowitt + Escare.

But I'd always give homegrown talent a chance.

Sam Burgess is now free to sign once his shoulder has rested up.

South Sydney Rabbitohs have been given dispensation by the NRL for Sam Burgess’ wages.

Burgess was forced to retire after the discovery of a shoulder injury earlier this year. He was contracted at the Rabbitohs until 2023.

A short term contract for September and October maybe at the business end of the year

If his shoulder's repairable, why wouldn't he take advantage of the top medical care, physio and rehab available, for free, through his club?

It's a pity but I doubt he'll be seen in a Leeds shirt, nor in anyone else's.
