I think we're cautious on all players now, apart from your overseas players. For example of the likes of Golding who signed a 4 year contract (I think) hardly played because Walker was more suitable for that position, was always at Rovers.

Caution doesn't extend to old fogies if we sign Prior for 3 years as reported. He'll hit 35 in his final year. That's optimism from Leeds.

Agreed but I'm thinking there doing it for experience which in my opinion Leeds have been lacking.

Three years for Prior is a bit long. 2 years with a 1 year extension if both parties agree would be more appropriate.

Players seem to be able to play for longer these days due to better train8ng and conditioning, but 35 is still 35.

I'm happy with Leeming, always been impresed with him when i've seen him. Always seemed to be a bit of a nusiance when he plays against us.
I don't know why people are talking about Prior being on marquee mony, we were negotiating with him before a possible marquee spot opened up and IF Merrin leaves we will still have a marquee slot to fill or am I wrong

Uninspired signing for me. A bog standard hooker who hasn't got much to show on his highlights reel. Hope he offers more than a previous purchase from the Giants.
Prior shouldn't be a marquee player, he replaces Peteru and Singleton.
Another prop is now required for the early departure of Merrin but there is no quality available.

Dwyer's highlight reel will make decent viewing for his efforts last year. A decent run featuring a couple of bump offs per game looks great in a one minute clip but I'm sure we all agree it wasnt tenable going into this year with him as our only front line 9.
