On a plus note look how much Warrington have blown on players n still not won super League and now look at how much they've thrown at widdop and based on his GB performances he's clearly not worth the money.

I think Merrin has been good for Leeds at least he's brought some stability n we will do well to hang on to him.

I rate Merrin but I may sound controversial here, I genuinely dont think hes the Marquee player we needed. I think we could get more for our money hes not a game winning xfactor player and that's what a marquee player should be imo

without merrin last year we went down. he is a leader. would sinfield have been a marquee in his prime? yes he would.
did he have the x factor? no he didnt. but he was a hell of a leader, merrin is in the same mould

Fair point Tad. I'd say Sinfield was a superior player to Merrin imo. Kicking game, goal kicking on top of everything else was world class.
