I think now merrin has committed again we all need to get behind the squad now I agree with most that the recruitment is disappointing but let's hope we get through the season ok next year and then by 20w1 we should have two over seas spots open and some decent signings then.

I still wouldn’t be surprised if we still lost Merrin before or during next season; we’ll see. Having a child is pretty hardcore if you’re away from family.

In all honesty I think he means away from family as a whole. They’ll both be in the UK. However I do agree, I do believe he will see another year out now, he would struggle to get the money he’s getting here at the moment.

I dont think he actually wanted to leave because he didnt want the challenge or disliked Leeds, it was more the fact of the horrendous family issues off field that would have caused a re-evaluation in his life as it would anyones in that situation.

He'll no doubt have his agent trying to drum up a deal in the background (no issue with that) hopefully for year after, giving a few NRL teams the heads up and a chance to move some cap around. If we have him pegged right, he'll see this year out no issues.

The club does have some good credit in the bank WRT looking after players who are struggling with issues and im sure there will be a hardworking team behind the scenes making sure that away from the pitch there is plenty of help if the struggles flare up.

Irs to Merrins credit that he performed the way he did with everything he went through last year. A total professional.

Leeds gave him opportunity to find a club prividing it was done quickly and ge honoured that. Something my still happen but in my opinion Merrin wint be an issue whether he stays or leaves.
