Hi all I'm new to this but have followed the site for around a year. It's interesting to get everyone s view on the current squad and where it has all gone wrong sine 2015. The comments and rumors have kept me entertained through out listening to where you all get your info from.

As for Merrin I hope he stays as he has been great since he was made caption but I just can't see it. I'm not sure who they would replace him with but agree with all it needs to be a prop or a great hooker. I feel that a lot of the recruitment will know hinge on his decision as to where the club go and more than likely will affect the winter recruitment. Hope this makes sense for my first post.

Bit of a noise around Tom Davies from Wigan

That was first reported mid season, around the same time we were linked with him. Probably because Williams has signed for Canberra. But Id be very surprised now if he left after the season he’s had. He’s been outstanding week in week out and just played in a grand final. to be honest I don’t see how George Williams is going to get into that Canberra side.

But to answer your original question, sezer is a much better player than gale, and in his prime. But as someone mentioned, gale gets so much off the cap, for our overall cap management maybe gale will be better for Now while we try to build a squad ready to compete again

NRL reporting that Sam Burgess’s shoulder could force retirement. Is that a scapegoat subject for him not being good enough for NRL then coming to Leeds? We can dream like.

That to me would show huge intent and put us in a much better position going forward.

Sam Burgess would be such an enormous signing.

I can't think of another player who would be even half as big a name.

Maybe someone from Union like Owen Farrell. But that's never going to happen.

I thought burgess wasn't as effective when he came back this year. Shame if he has to retire. If he's that crocked we shouldn't go near him, even though he'd be a big name signing.
