| the only coach from a club with a similar culture is Bellamy and he can bring Smith with him which solves another problem. I know this would be difficult and expensive but we are the best super league club so we deserve the best.

| So now that we’ve settled the topic with Dave Furner, should we expect an announcement soon? Surely they’ve got someone ready now the way is clear...

| Then we really are in the brown smelly stuff. Rich Agar is a nice bloke, but he’s not the coach to take us back to the top.

| Leeds are throwing huge amounts of cash around at the moment compared to the past two decades - the days of the tight purse strings seem to have disappeared for now. Paying whatever is required for a coach won't be a problem. Certainly if Agar keeps the job it won't be because of money.

| We can’t compete with NRL clubs for first grade starter players, on the whole, or proven first grade coaches. The drift is the opposite direction. Another problem with a Bellamy style signing would be their expectations working with a DoR like Sinfield.
Our best chance would be an up and coming Aussie looking to prove their worth to get an NRL gig IMO. But that’s risky. There are some english coaches I like but none that are really proven.

| I've said from the start its Agar's job to lose. He is seen as a good coach by the hierarchy at Leeds.
Agars issue is every loss will see the fans wanting him out and he will never be accepted by the fans but then McDermott wasnt either. The club have to decide if they are prepared to go through all that.
We all need to rally round Agar for the next 6 games because surviving in Super League has to be the only focus at the moment.

I'd much prefer to give a young English coach a chance. Watson or Ford.
