It seems to me that none of us knows what goes on behind he scenes. I'm sure that both Gary and Sir K see and hear everything daily. Sir K has very close links with the changing rooms via players he's both played with and still has very close bonds.
I think there has been a lot of unrest with the players and coaching staff.

Sad in one way, unsurprised in another.

Sad he hasn’t been given more time to finish this project.

Unsurprised as we are still making the same stupid, brainless errors we did at the start of the season, with no signs of improvement.

There’s going to be some blood on the walls regarding this further down the line, some of our playing staff have contributed to this massively and after some absolute horror shows, they’ve pulled the trigger on the coach.

Baffled by this. I really can't see how this is going to make any difference to our situation other than to further rock the already shaky boat. When are the players going to stand up and take some responsibility for their performances? I'd like to have seen a decent defensive coach brought in to work with the team under Dave but really didn't see this coming. They've been spouting on about bringing long term stability and I'm not one of these who expected a quick turnaround. We're miles away at the moment, I just want to see us stay up this year while things continue to stabilise and some of the longer term ideas can be implemented but giving him the boot after, what, 12 games? Completely goes against the current strategy for me. Don't understand it at all. I get that some coaches can squeeze a bit more out of players but when the majority of the guys aren't showing any commitment or awareness on the pitch there's only so much you can blame the coach for - we're not talking about squeezing out an extra few % of performances, we're talking about a basic level of professionalism surely?

Big call from Sinfield though - seeing as he brought Dave in in the first place, getting shot of him so soon with seemingly no long term replacement on the table he's got to be putting his own job on the line as well? Gah… doesn't get any easier this season does it

For me, knowing nothing about the internal dynamics inside the squad or the club as a whole, this seems a little premature. Is this Scape Goating? Player Power? Or Knee Jerk. Whatever, it doesn't feel like part of a coherent plan. Those who hold the reigns had better get it right with their new appointment or we will look more clueless off the field than we do on it.

Get the next one wrong and what was always going to be a three year project will quickly become 5 or more.

Hard to be alarmed by Furner's departure as we've been s**t. There are very few players whose departures would alarm me either. I'd also be interested to see Sinfield produce a list of his achievements since his return. It wouldn't take long to read.
