This has been the worst recruitment pre season. Can you ever see the likes of St Helens or Warrington wanting to sign Luke Briscoe, Albert, Crosby or even Donaldson. And we sign a fullback back to play in the halves and is clearly struggling.
Watkins isn't half the player he was, maybe still recovering from injury, but he doesn't seem to a natural leader of the team.
I know plenty of this has been mentioned but it's obvious that JJB, Ablett, Cuthbertson who have been great for the club are never going to hit the previous form of previous seasons, too many injuries with them also.
Then we have players like Golding on decent contracts who never gets a game but will struggle to get a similar deal if he was to leave.
Sinfield has so much work to do to get things right.

Yes, and Yes, if you want to put it like that. Or you can simply look at it for what it is, a play on words. It is the first time we have Marquee overseas players, it isn't the first time we have used the Marquee player rule on the cap, or at least according to Hetherington previously it wasn't.

From what I recall Pete Smith wrote an article in the YEP very early on in the season, possibly even pre-season with a list of players that it was understood from Sir Kev were available for immediate release if they could find another club

Players we could all have named liked Walters, Mullalley, Ormondroyd were on it but then there were the likes of Golding, Cuthbo and Parcell, although Cuthbo came out pretty quickly on social media to say he knew nothing of being told he was surplus to requirements.
