| He is good in D until he gives away the predictable, critical penalties for unnecessary niggle. JJB very similar IMO, always liable for disciplinary brain farts, hands in the ruck or messing about on the tackled player.
Going forward been really disappointing, hardly seen him bust the line or put an offload out it seems. Merrin has come in and is leading the offload table straight off, and generally looks a better version of Ferres.
Sometimes work in defence does go unnoticed, but it's no good tackling well if you then put 12 of your teammates in oxygen debt because you regularly do something stupid 2-3 times per game which they need to cover your backside for. It's exactly in these small margins where we're losing games, we must tighten up what we can control.

| Well last Thursday nights game v Cas was the best I have seen Ferres play - No penalties conceded from him too - he manages to stay in the Stand for the whole 80 minutes without getting sin-binned too.

| Personally I think Furner needs to resist putting players like Ferres straight back in, regardless of their form. He has talked about needing more "experience", but I don't necessarily buy that - it has usually been our "experienced" players owning the brain farts and making critical errors, rather than the younger lads. We should be preventing pressure in the first place rather than always trying to fire fight.
I do think he'll make a contribution this year, but I don't think he should be at Leeds next year (although I suspect he might well be).

| If feres is at leeds nxt year then god help us...although i agree, wouldnt be suprised. Dreadful player, not sure where some are seeing his solid defence, his defence is just as bad as his attack, which takes some doing.

| Given he's been given the captaincy on a few occasions since Sinfield came in as DOR, I think it's safe to assume he'll be around next year...

Danny McGuire was captain, he left.
