| Shit, ter and test. How anybody can rate Golding is beyond me...maybe he could make it as a plodding hooker, but he is painfully slow, never makes a break and can't pass (people suggesting he could play on the wing bonkers..would have been worse than that Aussie who paid his own flight & who McDermott persisted with for about 10 games before the final straw in crabbing across his own goal line against Hull and got tackled behind the line...forget his name) ...Sutcliffe should have been moved on last season at least....he'll never make a second rower ..can't bust a tackle; no grunt. Usless....and Myler wtf? He is hopeless ...no kicking game at all.....bring back Mags. Leeds really do have some issues. We all recognise we need some big props, but Ferres has done bugger all since he signed and Ward is already sadly done (I blame McDermott for using his willing heart of a lion to make him a wholly unsuitable battering ram). It is a sad state of affairs that I believe our better second row pairing is still JJB and Ablett. Merrin has to be used at LF. Singleton might be better tried in second row as he is fast enough and able to do more damage out there than up the middle. As for the backs Watkins might have gone same way as Mags...lost that edge in pace. He's probably better at FB these days although I liked Lolohea for his cut out passes not seen the Webb days. I'd like to see Walker tried at SO alongside McLelland .. a pairing that cannot be worse that we have at the moment.
Team for Hull
Watkns, T.Briscoe, Hurrel, Handley (Newman), L.Briscoe (Handley), Walker, McLelland
Peteru, Parcel/Dwyer, Oledski, Singleton. Ablett, Merrin
Subs: Lolohea, Cuthbertson, Donaldson, Trout

Sutcliffe (who id release tmw) yet he was behind giving his mates Jjb & Ablett new deals both blatantly past it but you see as some kind of improvement if fit.
Id also question the recruitment of L.Briscoe & Donaldson.
This squad has major problems & Golding wont solve any of them as admirable as his attitude & versatility is.'"
Yippee....we agree on something. and yes JJB and Ablett are well past there best and like Golding would at give 100% effort.

| Golding is available to leave the club, if the right offer for him comes across. This was confirmed by Pete Smith on YEP

| That might be true, but it would be a mistake in my eyes if so.

| I'm not fussed about Golding, and at this stage concede that it is probably in everyone's interests for him to leave the club.
I agree he has the right attitude, and has been good for us defensively in the past (esp. 2017). Last season, however, his defence was not as good as some would make it out to be, and at times he seemed without much confidence.
There's maybe an argument for giving him a wing spot over Handley (or FB if Walker and Lolohea get injured), but this isn't going to fundamentally change much. Never mind hooker, it's a shame Golding's not an organising half-back, that's what we need (his pace and enthusiasm would be assets).
