| Burgess and Gale now ruled out, replacements announced tomorrow. Can’t think who will be their replacements with the shortage of players. Maybe Richardson for Gale, Taylor for Burgess?
Hall, Watkins, Brown, Gale, Burgess, Walmsley, Roby, Currie, Widdop now all out.

A little tap, the sort of incident that was commonplace. The ref missed it, which is why it was put on report later & he received a ban & a fine. Going in with the knees on a player is potentially far worse.

Wasn't it Westwood who smashed Sutty's jaw in the first 5 minutes of the home game last season? Makes Ablett look clean.

yep and only got put on report. swings and roundabouts. Tomkins should have gone for 10 still as two offenses in quick succession, Wigan still would have won as Warrington had little to offer in attack, Wigan happy to grind it out, Wigan down to 12 men made of opened the game up a bit though.

| So if Tomkins got a ban what does Hicks get?
What I don't like about this is the ref saw and dealt with both incidents yet then Tomkins gets a ban. Personally I think that is wrong. The ref should deal with this stuff on the pitch and dish out yellow/red cards as appropriate so the opposition team benefit.
All too late now but if, as the rfl panel suggest, Tompkins should have been off

Yeah, the game is awash with fractured sinuses!
Ben Westwood’s second-minute punch left the Aussie with a fractured sinus, a rapidly-swelling lump under his right eye and needing on-field oxygen.
