Anyone suggesting Sinfield should move on is clearly DAF. He’s admitted tonight on camera that he can now get on with the job he was brought in to do, ie not coaching. GH made a complete mess of the coaching change, although change was needed.

If we are to continue with the weak options we currently have in the back row it will be another tough season next season, so we need to take direct action in the next few weeks, which will hopefully shift a few season tickets as they can’t be moving fast at present.

There’s a huge amount of work to do to get the first team competitive again, probably 10 new players or more, and that takes time. If they can show that next season is progress and finish top 8 then push on again the year after, some of the kids will be getting close then and we can go for it in 2021/2. I really don’t see us being successful again before unless a number of other clubs implode.

I see us as a mis table team next year and ill be fine with that, weve had an immensely succesful 15 years and the transition has been mismanaged but it can be turned around it just won’t be quick but IMO Sinfield is the right person to oversee it, time will tell but he is very honest about the task ahead of him.

I’ve got nothing but respect for Kev, although his task is huge and he lacks experience in what the club needs him to do. No time for favours.

In the longer term we will be fine, it’s just a shame that the whole transition wasn’t handled well (or even at all?) and will now take 2-3 years longer than it could have done.

The next news out of the club needs to be a positive statement type signing to get the wavering fans on board again.

What do you mean no time for favours? Sinfield hasn’t yet had chance to do what the club employed him to do as we were in a relegation scrap, we have fortunately got through that, now let him get on with what he has actually been employed to do.

Lets look at the positives, we actually have a great crop of youngsters coming through and that needs managing properly both Furner and Sinfield have been around this club when that was happening before and they both know what it takes to turn that into a championship winning club.

No time for favours means he needs to not get emotional about the people he played with and do the job he is employed to do. I expect he will move JJB and Delaney on and replace them with younger more dynamic players who carry a threat with the ball as well as doing the defensive work.

They've actually got even worse under Lord, his holiness, the right honourable, dear leader, Sir kev MBE OBE CBE.
