One for the older Loiners, a friend of mine is looking for information on Derek Davies, he signed for Hull from Leeds in 1964 he only played eight games for Hull, does anyone know what happened to Derek after he left Hull, playing record etc, much obliged in advance.

"Derek Davies signed for Leeds from Bradford and made his debut at stand-off in 5-10 defeat at Hull KR on 18 Nov 1961. He made 11 appearances without scoring that season, alternating between stand-off (icon_cool.gif and wing (3 games).

His first Leeds try came in opening game of 1962-63 season - a 27-5 home defeat of former club Bradford - and he scored a hat-trick from right wing on the day that debutant Alan Smith scoring 4 tries from left-wing in the 55-2 home Eastern Division defeat of Dewsbury in Sept 1962.

Derek was Leeds' top-try-scorer in that 1962-63 season with 13.
After scoring 4 tries in 14 games in 1963-64 his last appearance was on the wing in 2-24 defeat at Wakefield on 28 Dec 1963.

He made a total of 49 Leeds appearances and scored 17 tries before joining Hull around the same time that Dick Gemmell was making a move from the Boulevard to Headingley."
