I also think many players were no longer responding to his methods. An internal fix of the group you suggest to raise spirits and morale sounds most likely. However it is not a usual GH move to do this with no plan of a successor, so someone may already be tapped up.

If not and we are looking for an experienced fixer to get players at it to end of season, the only name I can come up with is John Kear with burrow as assistant. I am not saying this would be my ideal solution long term
