I don't think anybody really compromised, they just negotiated. Walker won't be the first player he's had to work hard to keep and had more negotiating to do than on others occasions. Just probably hasn't been one that been so out the in public domain with the details.
One thing I suspect GH might do is to sit Walker down and tell him he should be a bit smarter in terms of keeping things in house instead of telling so many.

I think the club were equally guilty of bringing things into the public domain and not for the first time either. |
