Yeah,when he recovered David Ward promised him at least 10 minutes in his return game off the bench.It would have guaranteed him a place in the GB squad that season.Ward never brought him on. |

Vince Fawcett, there a player. 6'3" 15st centre /winger big stong athletic, but no skill or rugby brain whatsoever. would have fitted into the modern game well. |

Thanks for the memories lads. I remember the 80s for always wondering what Aussie we were going to sign next and going along in high hopes...I guess the exchange rate must have been hugely favourable back then? Didn't we once have a full 1 to 13 Aussie team? (it felt like that at times from memory)
