Time will tell how this squad performs next season - on the face of it the squad looks a little old, a little fragile and lacking quality in key positions.

However some of us have written them off before and have been proved wrong - let's hope they can do it again.

No doubt Clarke will say that statistically the Wigan team on average can p1$$ farther and have longer members than Carney.

And I agree with your comment on Ward. I was going to mention him also, but then thought it is only one year so will leave. But thanks for backing up my point all the same. You could have just said you agree, instead of bickering.

It wasn't put to you with a dig at your intelligence but that's what you fired back with.

You're incapable of responding to someone without a line about lack of intelligence, naivety, dumb etc.

In this "new Southstander" with the new mods and less arguments you need to grow up and show some maturity in your responses instead of the constant belittling of intelligence if they have the opposite opinion to you.

I would agree I think with the squad and all its weaknesses we still have the quality to be up there challenging, having a quality hooker makes a big difference. I personally think we are weakest in the HB area and to me mags looks like he is shot but he has proved people wrong before.

I would like to see us add a quality half back but even if we don't I am not too pessimistic...yet

The squad for 2017 is stronger already with the departure of The Church. What a complete feck up of a signing he was.

Should free up a lot of space on the salary cap, if there's any truth in the rumours about his wage.

2 priorities for me are;

1- An organising halfback who is preferably also a threat with ball in hand (and ideally a bit pacey). We need that threat ball in hand to take some flies off the runners.

2 - A forward who's got some explosive pace - our current lot are very cumbersome. We need someone who can't dent the line and get a quick PTB - a point of difference.
