| Judge Leeds' aspirations by this statement on the website:
"Keith Galloway capping a fine debut year at the club in third place."
Mental.

Key sentence in your post "was". I very much doubt any woman running a club nowadays would be referred to as chairman.

Not really, it is a stylistic choice but in fact the diminutive and feminine suffix is getting rarer, actor not actress, manager not manageress,
It would be odd to decide that the suffix man cannot apply to a huMAN woMAN.

| Quote ThePrinter="ThePrinter"Can you imagine the same scene at Smokey's school, but with him running out of goal to play as an extra winger telling his teacher that the traditional role of goalkeeper has evolved and that the other 10 outfield players can make his saves for him.'"
That sounds ludicrous
Lots of love

A poundshop devils advocate who bothers you so much that whilst the cricket team you follow are playing in a Championship decider to do a hat trick of titles, you're on the internet searching for the female chairman of a team in the 8th tier of RU just to try and score points against him.
You're good for a laugh Billy I'll grant you that

True it can be a stylistic choice for a person in a job role. However the original point was about an award in which the sex of the winner can vary. How many awards that are open to both sexes would be titled as such? Don't think they'd call it The Sports Man of the Year award instead of Sports Personality and then have Paula Radcliffe or Zara Phillips win it.

So you're just going to avoid my question and Smokey-fy this thread with articles telling us how the chairman of the East Anglia Tiddlywinks league is actually a woman?
I'll pass thanks.

The irony metre just blew to smithereens!
That you've revealed your M.O is hoping people will say they're wrong to you speaks volumes about what's going wrong inside that delusional brain of yours
