Oh, and as for Seth, what people see here is who Leeds signed. There is a lot of players Seth played a big part in development of at other scholarships. Not sure how many got academy deals in the end, But Seth is exactly the reason why it annoys me when posters tar all junior coaches with the same brush. There is some excellent coaches out there at junior amateur level.

In my experience with my two boys there are two distinct coaching types. There are those who are not so technically gifted but are good at generating participation and those that are great at working with elite standard/gifted youngsters - its the bit in the middle that is the issue.

The difficulty for the amateur game is how do you increase participation without compromising skill development. We see even elite players that cannot pass correctly, can't kick accuractly which probably symtematic of amateur teams needing to win to maintain participation. The focus is on winning and not on overall skill development.
