The way Falloon has been treated stinks. Whilst he hasn't exactly set SL alight, we have been marginally better with him in the 17. I can't believe the irony of signing someone 'to save the season' on the same weekend as we were unceremoniously dumped into the middle 8's. Segeyaro may well do well against London, Batley et al but if he wants out at the end of the year then it's a pointless exercise. Not impressed one bit by Hetherington this year.

Whilst Ferres only signed a 1 year deal because of the salary cap, it seemed obvious both Leeds and Falloon saw each other as their only real option for 2016 by the time the deal was done and thus only went for a 1 year deal with both having different ideas for 2017.

Exactly. And at this moment Segeyaro has committed to the Rhinos for next season. He has an agreement that if an NRL club comes in then he can take the option. If an NRL club comes in for any of our players the same would happen. I think people are making too much of an issue about a desire to play in the NRL rather than not wanting to be here.

He's committed as long as he can't get a better gig which is the issue as it puts us on to a bit of a hiding to nothing. If he gets off to a flyer he is too late to really impact our season but will likely get picked up for next year by the nrl. If he is rubbish we are stuck with him.

The Falloon contract is a bit different as my understanding is we instigated the 1 year aspect as we had irons in the fire for 2017 which at least at this point don't seem to have worked out.

He is only committed until the end of this season - that is it.

If we go into next season without a quality hooker , a half back that can get us organised then we will have the same issues

How likely is Segs to get a contract back in NRL and reaching all of his goals for coming here, if he is going to be playing for us against the likes of 'ull KR, Leigh and Halifax..?

If SL is worse than NRL, and Segs is trying to play in SL short-term to then be offered a contract in the NRL - how well is he going to have to play in a 8 team league involving the worst of the 'inferior' SL and teams from the league below..?

Are we looking at him striving to set up like 5 tries a game and to score a hat-trick?

Otherwise it seems he is on a hiding to nothing trying to play in a half SL / half championship league to somehow get back to NRL...
