Quote Mark Laurie="Mark Laurie"I have no idea if gale would come to Leeds but I saw him twice at the end of last season having a meal with his old man pre game at headingley. Gale signing a long contract at cas means Leeds have to pay a bigger fee if they want to get him. Hardaker is on long contract. Chase, Clark and Sneyd have all left cas in recent years. He may well be better off from a playing and coaching perspective at cas. But Leeds need to make some big changes or the current slow, dull tripe being offered will continue. If the ambition at Leeds is now so low that we won't even try and get Gale we are in for some pretty poor fare to come IMHO.'"
The difference is that Leeds want rid of Hardaker and he wants to leave.
Cas want to keep Gale and he is willing to commit to the club for five years.
Chase angled for leaving for about a year after Koukash offered him ridiculous money (which I doubt GH will be willing to do).
Clark didn't actually want to leave Cas at the time but the club were not in a financial position to turn down Warrington's offer (whereas now the club are in a much more stable financial position).
Sneyd didn't actually leave Cas, he was with us for a year on loan as part of the deal that took Chase to Salford. At the end of his loan year, Hull offered Salford a transfer fee we were not willing to match.
