Im an FC fan so have unfortunately seen many seasons blighted by injuries, when at full strength you have a great squad, one that can trouble anyone on their day and the same goes for your gaffer. You cant get on the gaffers back if your down to the bare bones selection wise and the lads you send out are simply not sticking to BM'S game plan. How can he change it around when your big game players are sat in the stands ant quite frankly the senior players that are on the field simply are not carry the young lads through? It must be VERY frustrating for BM, like i said we at FC have had many seasons like this but the BIG difference is our senior lads have taken up the slack to grind out the odd result. Knee jerk reactions are to be expected among the fans but sticking together will see you through! icon_thumb.gif

Funny you should say this. What if theyou are doing what the coach says? My mate asked Achurch about other teams using the same play to rip us up the middle and if they spoke about it. His answer was that they're playing the same system as last year even though Galloway and Garbutt can't cover the gaps. From what he was saying, the coach isn't trying to change anything.

Quote: TOMCAT "We are poor at the moment but I agree with your assessment, they don't throw in the towel. Too many knee jerk reactions after watching Leeds lose too often from some, but it is hard to watch. For mine we have to bite down and stop calling for all and sundry to be sacked. After the highs of last season its our turn to struggle, but this team and coach deserve the chance to turn it around.'"

Exactly. Despite fielding a further weakened side we were still in the game at half time. SL is all about momentum and the crucial errors from Handley and Hardaker just after half time gave Wigan the confidence and momentum and took the game away from us. Despite this and having Hardaker in the bin the side never stopped trying and those that claim the we lack effort are plain wrong. In a game where we made almost 100 tackles more than Wigan and they had more possession it was unusual to find Handley made zero tackles and one miss, 47 metres and 3 errors - not his best day.

"Knee jerk" ? ..Remind me how many matches have Leeds lost this season? "Struggle" in comparison to last year...maybe. But to collapse?

The 2 next matches after GH's email the team gets stuffed by 50 and 40 points (not close losses). How long is this "deserved chance" meant to be? The next game? Another? How many?

All you hear is "Leeds are trying, putting the effort in, working for each other, need to be patient, things will change"

I'm not faulting they are working hard, but when results are getting worse week on week, when the heck are they going to start working smarter? Not harder.
