| My opinion remains the same i wouldn't have signed him for the reason clearly stated that isn't "risable ,taking the moral high ground nor faux outrage" it's my own opinion given his actions.
Will it stop me supporting the Club i've followed for 36yrs+ no ,nor will it stop me attending hopefully he proves to be a good addition but i will say as good as he is he ain't exactly Sonny Bill either.

| I'm chuffed that he's a Leeds player. I don't condone his actions with his best man and best friend from childhoods Mrs. But whilst it was a despicable betrayal, one mistake shouldn't define anyone. I hope and trust GH and BM know what they've done and that he will fit in well, to the club, the team and our style of play (but not the WAGS)

| Very good addition to the squad, plenty of competition in the back row and scope for keeping everybody fresh.

| Hail the sleeve - did not expect us to get him but a big 2nd row who will add to our left side attacking options is ideal addition leaving all other stuff aside imo.

| He's signed a 1 year deal initially.
As I suggested earlier in this thread, he'd take a 1 year deal on a pay cut as teams would struggle to match his wage at this time of the season and then sign a new, longer and better paid contract when the club can work on the salary cap for 2017.
Also what I've heard over the last week is that the whole reason the Roosters move really fell apart is because Leeds let Ferres know of their interest just in time and with his desire to stay as close to his kids as possible he decided he didn't want to go to Australia. Once Ferres knew of Leeds' interest he had no desire to go to any other club for the simple reason it kept him as close as possible to his kids. This presented Hudds with a problem as Leeds were the last club they wanted him to go to and they hung on hoping to find another club he'd go to and thus why I imagine GH did his "not pursuing him" pressure article on Hudds because he knew by that point Ferres had set his mind on Leeds only and Hudds were stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Sounds like a very smart bit of business by GH. Whilst we sometimes miss out on big names. I give enormous credit to the way GH balances the needs of the team in terms of maintaining a competitive squad and the needs of the company to return reasonable returns and enable infrastructure improvement.

That depends on if a fee was paid. There was talk of a £50k fee. That is expensive if it is a one year deal.

| My guess is that Hudds are still paying part of Ferres wages as they would liable to do, probably the difference between his hudds wages and his leeds wages. I wouldnt be surprised to see that difference between wagesto be similar to the transfer fee.
So for instance, Ferres is on 90k, a year
Leeds offer him a contract for 60k 1st year, with a 2 year 90k a year deal to be signed mid year
Leeds pay Hudds 50k transfer fee
Hudds pay Ferres the 30k difference to buy out his contract and pocket 20k
