It really embarrasses me when fans say "no one ever leaves us & does better" the fact is we are a top club & these boys leave because they're good but not quite good enough to oust our 1st teamers or they just want more game time so obviously they won't move on to do better or they'd be in our 1st team!!!

I agree with your point but not sure why it embarrasses you.

As for BJB, good on him for breaking out of his comfort zone to get regular game time but I think he will be a bit disappointed to end up at wakey. Think he could have done a job for a team a little higher up. Hull was interested apparently or he could have been a good fit for Warrington (better than Orms and Penny).

“You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”:1230.gif

Wakey seems a step up from Salford, should get plenty of games in his best position and if it works out he can either extend or move to a bigger club. Good luck to the lad, sad to see some who can't accept that leaving Leeds could ever work out for anyone.

Apologies, embarassing was probably the wrong word to use. I just think these lads should be given credit for moving on if chances are limited & it's quite difficult to move on to better things if you're leaving a top team so the "never hit the heights after leaving" shouldn't be thrown at them. It's a very short career.

Great signing for Wakey, and I'm glad BJB is out of that circus at Salford. Hopefully he can stay injury free and score a bag full of tries. He's got the ability. I don't blame him for leaving Leeds. He was 25 and was 2nd choice in all positions after we signed Briscoe. Good luck to the lad

Chuffed for BJB, Nice guy I liked him always tried 100% technically not the best but like so many Leeds players played through his heart and therefore punched above his weight. I would have been happy for him to take over when Biscoe was injured but on the positive side Handley got a good work out.

I hope Wakey is a happy hunting ground for BJB
