Agreed with everyone else in that this is unlike Hetheringtons past dealings regarding transfer rumours, I'm sure we would like to sign Burgess.....and Thurston and Cameron Smith, doesn't mean its going to happen but its all good publicity when you are selling season tickets.

I would be very pleased and very surprised if Burgess come to Leeds.

I think deep down that GH doesn't reckon he's much of a chance of landing Burgess, but heading into what could be a potentially tricky transitional season without some departed big names, it doesn't hurt to whet the punters appetites.

I doubt many Bradford fans found it funny for too long when Caisley let his apparent dislike of Hetherington cloud his judgement in a similar looking scenario to this one.

The only way I see Leeds doing a deal for Burgess is if someone else is facilitating his release from Bath.

Maybe not, but at a time when the club and the sport might have dropped off their radar a bit the publicity has provided a useful opportunity to jog their memory that there are only 3 weeks remaining on the 0% interest monthly payment option.

I agree with Andy G. While it might not have a direct impact on actual sales the more positive publicity we can get the better! It is all part of building the overall picture and sending out a message to fans that the club are not going to stand still after the so called golden generation.
