Great signing. I thought Paul Aiton would take some replacing but in Beau Falloon i think weve aquired an even better Hooker.

He'll need to up his game a fair bit but who knows? He's got a year to prove he's good enough.

Quote: Old Feller "No it was all part of GH's masterplan to make all the other SL clubs offer their existing no9s better deals - Roby, McCllorum, Milner, Clarke etc better long term deals so that they all have less money to spend on other players for their squads.
Clever, very clever...'"

icon_lol.gif ....Not even GH is that clever surely?

I have to say I am very happy with the recruitement for next year now. I can only assume and have faith that the club has something up the sleeve's sleeve for the longer term !!!

We will now once again see that lovely interaction between the hooker and the off loading skills of Cuthbertson becomimg even more prevalent and an even better joy to behold than what we witnessed with Aiton.

Think we still need to bring in a second rower. Especially with Minchella leaving, potentially Achurch leaving and JJB out for the beginning

I said elsewhere that maybe Lauititi should be given a similar year's contract.....but either way I have faith in the club to do what is needed. The fact we obviously tried to sign Westerman demonstrates the club is aware of what else is required.....

Hooker was the big void that needed to be prioritised and we have been satisfied IMO.

Others are stating we also need a half back, which would be nice, BUT Lilley has shown he can cover SH adequately....and I also believe Golding looks good enough to be trained into covering SO. Indeed SO might be his better long term option if he sticks around alongside Hardaker commanding the FB spot. Sutcliffe could be moved to LF longer term.

I could easily see that if next season works out well for both parties a 12 month deal could very easily turn into a longer deal. From the "show real" he looks a very decent signing. Hopefully if he settles in the UK well and finds his way to the appropriate white line often enough he could be our Hooker for a few seasons. A smart deal for and by both parties for mine icon_thumb.gif
