Maybe it's because there's nobody better to replace him because nobody wants to be a full time Super League referee? Maybe that's because it's a thankless job where if you're perceived to have a poor game some knuckleheads will claim you only got the game because of your sexuality.

Come on Gotcha. You're not that daft. You know full well the RFL employee 6 full time refs. The rest are part time. Quite obviously the full time refs are going to generally ref the SL games.

So he is one of 6 refs who are going to ref SL games. That situation applies to all of the full time refs, not just James Child.

So stop deliberately trying to twist the argument away from your and Printers allegations that James Child only gets big games because he's gay.

Although now you've extended it to he's only a full time ref because he's gay.

I think if you go back, and look at every one of my posts, they have said the same thing. I have said nothing about big games based on Child. I have continually said he is consistently incompetent, far too many matches per year. The worst of the refs in Super League. Why is he still a full time ref? that is what I have said throughout this thread.

Your argument is that there is only six full time refs. But there is still another six behind that waiting for the opportunity. After six years of consistent incompetence when does it change for Child?

You would have a very valid point if Child had only gone bad this year, and it is reviewed at end of the season. But that isn't the case is it? So what do these other six refs have to do for them to replace Child, considering Child's performance in his role? Because lets be honest here, despite the rantings, nobody has come on and said Child deserves to be a Super League ref. So how does he keep that role?

Just to point out that Child isn't full time. He works full time for Leeds City Council as a surveyor IIRC.

I'm trying to point out that there are far more reasonable reasons why those referees are not promoted ahead of Child besides what he does with his willy.

For instance one of them is suspended pending a pretty serious charge.

For instance one of them has been severely criticised in performance in the few games he has reffed at SL level.

For instance most of them are relatively young and inexperienced and their development would be harmed by promoting them too early.

All of those are reasonable, rational and logical conclusion. And not one of the have anything to do with the referees sexuality.

But those aren't your conclusions are they. In you addled mind, it is less outlandish to state that James Child is still an SL referee because he is gay than it is to say James Child is still an SL referee because he is one of very few that we have even with SL experience.

If standing up to monsters like you anonymously demeaning and denigrating a man doing a difficult and thankless job, and using his sexuality to do so makes me a bigot. Sign me up. Give me that badge. I'll wear it with pride.
