| St George lost their 6th consecutive NRL match today and lots of moans about half-backs Marshall and Widdop. Some supporters even questioning whether Widdop would be there in 2016, the inference being that he would be playing for Leeds? It appears all is not well at St George's, they are blaming the halves and I wouldn't be surprised if they let one of the pair leave?

Briscoe, Duckworth, Tonks, Foster, Clarkson all going elsewhere, with Clarkson going to Hull KR.'"
That's what I expected.
Of the ones departing the only one I was tempted to see more of was Briscoe Jr. as he showed some decent versatility value but we look better balanced heading into 2016 than we did when he was last here getting the odd game.

| Don't think minchella is anyware near super league standard, and from what I've head he is more interested in his shagging career than his RL Career

Yet to see him perform well consistently or against the better teams.'"
From what I saw of the game it was pretty much one way traffic from the Storm. Judging half backs behind a beaten pack against arguably the most agressive pack in the comp says little about Widdop or Benji's ability/form. What I saw of the Saints attack was Benji running 30 meters sideways quite a bit, also running backwards at times.
If your not a Widdop fan this one would be an ideal game to highlight when cherry picking for an argument.'"
Not cherry picking - just a perfect example to back up my opinion that I posted a few days ago. Truth is, he has a fair few games like that - there's not many examples of when he has dominated a 'big' or tough game. Infact, I can't think of any - can you?

You make an interesting point. Prior to the Dogs v Sharks game on channel 9, they had a best 5 halfbacks in the comp section. The wash up from Gould, Johns and Fitler was that the halves who are regarded as playing the best play for the top five teams who happen to play behind the biggest and best packs. It was highlighted it's no suprise DCE is having an average season as the Manly pack are average. They basically said put any halves pair behind the top packs and you see different players.
