| Thought mcguire was easily mom imo, all the forwards were very good, moon had his best game of the season so far.
Abbo, burrow, and Yates should be pretty fresh for Monday.

| An absolutely outstanding effort from the forwards, across the board. Aiton was absolutely superb, on the back of massive efforts from Singleton, Peacock, and Cuthbertson. Ward was absolutely immense defensively.
The half backs looked good, but two many times both of them took the wrong option and tried too much themselves. More Sutcliffe than McGuire.
I thought the coach got his subs spot on, even though taking Ward off last 10 mins started to hit us in the end.
Not sure how it looked on TV, but It was a much superior performance than the scoreline suggests.

| Illness made me unable to attend so I watched it on TV. We looked good all the way through. I was slightly troubled by Cas' ability to find an offload and make mischief in midfield, but apart from that, we bossed it.

Always felt comfortable even with a 10 point lead for a big chunk of the 2nd half. Could've been more comfortable, Sutcliffe dropped one over the line and the one Cuthbertson was held up on was annoying as he looked way to casual thinking he'd already scored.
After we stretched the lead we did take Ward and Singleton off for Burrow and Yates so not a like for like switch which did upset the balance a bit BUT given that it's Easter weekend I can live with resting bodies, particularly Ward who was done a ton of work already this year....a 15 mins rest won't do him any harm.
On tv, we could've been a bit better near their line BUT also a bit of credit to Cas also who showed some good desperate goal line defence (like we did also).

Agree with all that.
I thought the ageing Peacock was immense. Took the nasty drives that no-one wants to take in.
McGuire has been excellent last few weeks and was again. He seems to be relishing a bit more of a leadership and game management role.

| After all the talk that Handley would not be able to handle Carney, he stood very well and looks like a potential star in the making.

| I thought it was a very good bad weather performance and i'm sure on a firmer pitch we beat them by 30+.
Plenty to improve on especially on the last tackle but a good well deserved win.
Although Mags got the M.O.M for me the pack lead the way with Cuthbo ,Singo ,J,P ,Ward and Aiton all having very good games.
Just a quick note although Thaler let the game flow i thought binning Hall but not Moore were shocking calls.

Agree with that. Re Thaler I think he's the best ref by some distance. I thought the decision to sin bin Hall was exactly right, it's just frustrating when you see players in other games hold down after a break but not get sin binned, again comes back to consistency with the refs.
I also thought Moore's tackle deserved a sin bin.

He did great with the kicks which were good kicks with well timed chases by Carney......until Scott Moore tried getting in on the act. Also very good work to chase back after Carney to stop the try. However if you were a Cas fan you'd be disappointed that they didn't manage to really get Carney running at him during the game, partly their doing, partly good work from us that didn't allow that to happen.

| Cuthbertson really adds a dimension to our pack that we've not seen for some time. IMO he's the best ball handling forward in the league and looks as unpredictable as James Graham. His game style really suits the Super League and is proving to be a very shrewd signing indeed. Another top draw performance.
Danny Mags showed that he can control the team on the field in Sinny absence while both Moon and Watkins were a handful.
Handley proved he can cut it with the big boys and did everything that he should have. I honestly thought that the Carney/Handley match-up would be totally one-sided but the young winger did everything right.
Ward, Singleton and Aiton were outstanding and JP was just... well... JP.
I thought we won by playing smart. We played to the conditions and ground out a tough win. There's nothing wrong with "5 drives and a kick" when your looking dominant in the forwards and the ball is a slippery as greased eel.
