| I'd start Singo and cuthbo at prop next week and bring Kylie and peacock off the bench.
Tonight I thought we defended well, but some of our basic passing was poor both abbo and delaney throwing passes around the ankles in good field position, none existent kicking game except a couple of burrow kicking, and you know your not at it as a team when our best bomb came from cuthbertson!
On a positive note Golding had a decent debut, obviously a bit early for him but he didn't let anyone down, also thought ward, Singo, and jjb put real shifts in.

Agreed. I think because a lot of people made up their minds long ago that our pack wasn't up to much (which is very overstated IMO) that it makes them assume that we got smashed when the truth is had Westwood been on the opposite team we'd have probably won. When he plays like that he shows why England missed him so much in the 4N last year.

| Quote Him="Him"Yep. Plenty of work rate from him too. Thought he was one of our better forwards tonight.

We just need to have a bit more patience and composure in the first half. We need to straighten up and be a bit more direct. When we do we then create the gaps outwide that the likes of Watkins can take advantage. But in both the Hull game and tonight we wanted to go wide/pass our way to a score straight away.'"
I agree our patience is our biggest weakness....which is disappointing given the experience in our team. Nothing worrying about our lost tonight and that Wire fans are celebrating that as a great success speaks volumes.

| We lost because the Wolves defended outstandingly well, but we controlled their attack pretty well too.
Stupid penalty from JJB, rank defence not playing to the whistle for the Penny try, ridiculous, unnecessary offload from Sinfield for the Atkins try. I just wish that if it had to be scored it was anybody else but him. I detest him.
I do think though that the Hardaker farrago will have had an upsetting influence on the team.
Golding dealt with the high kicks generally very effectively, but would Hardaker have been caught out of position for the Ratchford try? Dubious though it may have been had the position been reversed I'd have been very disappointed for it not to have been given.
Finally, for the Penny try possibly Hardaker would have been quick enough & strong enough to hold him up over the line?
But that's all ifs, buts & maybes, if we continue to defend overall like tonight we'll win more than we lose & we scored a fabulous team try.

| Some of the calls tonight were garbage however they were matched by some of our individual performances
Can tell the players who we have seen the 'best of' quite clearly

| I'm still a little perplexed why we weren't awarded the first try when Moon touched down from Hall's flick back - I thought that Bentham choosing not to go to the VR was strange when the contest for the ball was so unclear - but that was just the first in a game full of decisions that I though we got the raw end of. With that, the Singo 'No Try' call (that looked a more comfortable try to me than either of Wire's first two which strangely went upstairs with 'Try' attached), the scrum award to Wire on their own line when Hall went into touch because apparently Wire can somehow manage to get Ablett's pass back to him and get it to move backwards - excellent toying with the laws of physics, and Singo being penalised for a great pass out of the tackle. Tries aside I thought the game was incredibly even, and with the refereeing errors corrected and/or the 50/50's going the other way - as they easily could have - we'd be looking at at least a draw. Disappointed with us, not massively impressed with Warrington who were good without ever being great, thought Bentham was dreadful.
-Edit- Just to add Golding being declared in touch, another moment when Leeds pressure was alleviated by a, shall we say 'questionable' call.

I agree with that, and why for me, our halfs and the use of Burrow are the biggest problem. Their the ones calling the shots and blowing opportunities.
Also remember Hall dropped a sitter that could have had a massive bearing on the game, had he just held the ball.

| Watching as a neutral there was 3 big calls the ref/vid ref got wrong.
The obstruction. The warrington player moves and you are supposed to to stand still. Even if the player blocked doesn't get to him penny wouldn't have been able to straighten up as easy and probably wouldnt have got through.
The second try isn't grounded properly and ratchford knows this from the look on his face. This awarding try or not awarding the try before it goes upstairs is a load of tosh.
The third try just before Leeds make a mess Ashton Sims does and big shoulder charge which gets totally missed so Leeds wouldn't have been in a postion to be to make a dogs dinner of it if the ref had done his job.
