I'm thinking of heading over for the game this year, does anybody know if the bars etc in Perpignan will still be open? Is it still lively in March?
Plan is to fly to Barcelona and hire a car.

Hi Matey, i went 2 years ago over easter weekend and bars were still open. all of them are very friendly as well. ill be honest though, not much else was open except bars, but what more do you need? =D

Hiring a car is a good option. Don't be shy about using the pay roads. They are cheap and make a hell of a difference to your journey time. |

Every time we've been we've flown into Barcelona, picked up a hire car and driven to Perpignan - most cost effective way to get there in my opinion. |

We are flying from Stansted to Perpigan, drink in France on the Saturday and fly back on the Sunday, should be good weekend.
Hope we play well and win as always feel better after good game.

Question for anyone who has gone via Spain and hired a car. Seems a lot of the rental companies forbid/charge extra for crossing the border to France.
Anyone know of any problems or know how much the charges are?
