We have decided to tick this off our bucket lists next year.
Has anyone done this route before.
Liverpool to Barcelona Friday afternoon and stay in Barcelona Fri night.
Sat get early train to Perpignan and stay over in Perpignan Sat night.
Sunday train back to Barcelona and evening flight back to Liverpool.
So far flights and digs have come to £140 each, just train and match tickets and beer tokens left.

Hi , Done this trip before , but be warned if you go by Ryanair they call Gerona airport ,Barcelona. You have at least an hour or so to Barcelona . A good option is stay in Tossa de Mar , a lovely resort . A short drive from Gerona , also worth a visit .

Will it count as summer timetabling? Ryanair fly to BCN in the winter. I use that route for work.

I'm thinking of heading over for the game this year, does anybody know if the bars etc in Perpignan will still be open? Is it still lively in March?
Plan is to fly to Barcelona and hire a car.

Hi Matey, i went 2 years ago over easter weekend and bars were still open. all of them are very friendly as well. ill be honest though, not much else was open except bars, but what more do you need? =D

Hiring a car is a good option. Don't be shy about using the pay roads. They are cheap and make a hell of a difference to your journey time.
