Hey btw, did anyone see the story earlier this week about the price of following football in England. Some premiership clubs offering season tickets around and over the £1k mark........anyone at all???
"We should pay our players more to keep hold of/attract the best players!"
Ok let's make more money by increasing match day prices.
"WHOA HOLD ON!!! I want to watch the very best world class athletes come to and perform in this competition but only at the cost of £10 a game hopefully.......and whilst they're at it the clubs should stop making charity and testimonial shirts to boost income because they might actually make more money and that is bang out of order!"
Rugby League, the sport of the tightest ar*ed supporters indeed.'"
Simple supply and demand profile - soccer has thousands of single men to whom soccer is the priority and everything has to take a back seat no matter what the cost. RL is a family sport by its very nature it has to compete with other family activities for available funds.
How many world class athletes are we seeing in SL - very few these days, how many world class players are you seeing in the PL numerous and that is a factor in the charging for season tickets.
For me there is now a case for a two tiered season ticket - you pay for the regular season and then you pay for the last four games. That might encourage GH to invest in the team to ensure a top 8 finish as games against Wigan Saints and Warrington are a lot more appealing then Wakefield, Salford and Hull.
